On Friday, September 8th, the Snow City Arts community celebrated, viewed student artwork, bid on silent auction packages, met our students, and supported arts learning in Chicagoland hospitals!

Gallery Night 2017: A Balloon on the Moon returned to the Ballroom at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The VIP hour for the evening began at 6:00PM. VIPS got a sneak preview of the gallery and silent auction items, imbibed specialty cocktails by The Violet Hour, and mingled with Snow City Arts staff, board, and  teaching artists.

The general admission began at 7:00PM, where guests viewed the full exhibition, bid on silent auction packages, met the student artists, engaged in interactive artmaking, and much more!

The 2017 Neisser Award was presented posthumously to Katie Kurcz, in honor of her years of dedication to Snow City Arts. As a co-founder of Snow City Arts’ Auxiliary Board, her energy, spirit, and determination helped create a dynamic group responsible for raising more than $100,000 each year for the organization.
