For Families

Snow City Arts currently offers arts instruction at our partner hospitals but it’s also possible to engage with Snow City Arts outside of the hospital!

Releases

Students need to sign a release form to allow SCA to share their work and likeness. We have two versions of each form: A Spanish form and English form. They’re the same exact forms, so select one with your preferred language. You can sign via Docusign by clicking the button below or you can download the pdfs from the button below and mail them to us at info@snowcityarts.org or at Snow City Arts 1653 W Congress Pkwy, Chicago, IL 60612-3833.

The Art Form lets us document and retain a copy and display students’ creations in public exhibitions, in hospital hallways, on our social media networks, and a variety of other ways we use to publicly celebrate the work of our students.

The School Form allows us to communicate with your school with the aim of securing school credit, extra credit, or encourage that your artwork be displayed or celebrated.

The Photo Form let’s us take and share videos or pictures of you being creative – but that’s totally up to you! The form also allows us to record your voice in song or spoken word.

Exhibitions

Snow City Arts proudly showcases student artwork in exhibitions throughout Chicago and online, celebrating the creativity and imagination of young artists making art in hospitals. SCA also creates and sells high-quality prints of student artwork (see our annual capsule collection here!) in accordance with our Student Art Sales Policy (English) and Política de Ventas de Arte Estudiantil (Español). Students always take home their original artwork, prints are made to help share and celebrate their creativity while supporting our mission to inspire and educate children and youth in hospitals through the arts.

If you’ve made art with us, we’d love to feature your work!
Share your artwork here to be considered for an upcoming student exhibition.

Youth Leadership Council

The Youth Leadership Council (YLC) supports young alumni leaders of Snow City Arts with the skills, knowledge, and networks to create meaningful change—both in their communities and in their own personal and professional growth. Through collaboration, advocacy, and experiential learning, the council provides a platform for youth to engage in transformative art-making, strengthen leadership and problem-solving abilities, and influence organizational policy and programmatic decisions. Rooted in equity, inclusivity, and action, the council fosters a supportive space where diverse perspectives are valued, and alumni voices help shape SCA as an organization.
