Snow City Arts Students and Alumni Invited to Join Virtual Open Studios
As a member of the Snow City Arts (SCA) creator community, you know the power of inspiration that comes from making art together. Now with our new virtual Open Studios you can continue projects you are working on or start a new project in collaboration with one of our teaching artists along with other SCA students and alumni from home.
Maybe you’ve wanted to explore a new art form or you’re looking for feedback on a project you’ve been working on. At Open Studios you can do that and more! You and your fellow artists might discuss ideas for a new artwork, artistic inspiration and other art-related topics, decide to collaborate on a group project, or look at and discuss one another’s work – all in collaboration with SCA Teaching Artists.
After you RSVP, you’ll receive a free Open Studios Art Kit in the mail! It includes foundational art supplies (things like a notebook, colored pencils, glue stick and markers) as well as some favorite materials of the Teaching Artists that you’ll be working with to use during Open Studios and any time you are inspired to make art.
There is no limit to the creativity that will be sparked when the SCA community comes together during Open Studios!

NOVEMBER OPEN STUDIO
November 26 | 5:30-7:30
Our next Open Studio will be Tuesday, November 2th from 5:30-7:30 pm CST. Join Teaching Artists Kevin Smith and Phillip Adams to explore how music and collage can combine to create collaborative narrative-based artworks. In this Open Studio, students will create a collaborative music piece using the online platform Soundtrap and create collaged-based visual pieces that both inspire and are inspired by the music made.”
