AGES 8-17

Since the moment Julia was introduced to Snow City Arts, she was hooked by the endless opportunities that Snow City Arts (SCA) provided and the kind and dedicated team that made this work possible. Working with 8 teaching artists over the years, Julia has had the opportunity to pursue many different mediums of art; her favorite being the performing arts. From student to member of the inaugural Youth Leadership Council (YLC), Julia has worked with SCA from a variety of vantage points. Whether it was supporting Julia through high school allowing her to receive a credit from her work with teaching artists that made it possible  her to graduate on time, designing t-shirts to be sold in the hospital gift shop, composing and delivering a monologue in the style of a TED Talk, being a part of the YLC, speaking at Gallery Night, and everything in between, Snow City Arts has been such an important part of Julia’s life. After receiving the Miguel Sandoval Scholarship, Julia was able to write and deliver her very own version of a TED Talk with the guidance and expertise of Snow City Art staff members Jess and Dan. When not with Snow City Arts, you can find Julia dancing, spending time with her awesome siblings, or enjoying a beautiful sunset outside. She is so grateful to be part of the Snow City Arts family!
